Perth in a few hours

Waiting for flight to Perth it is delayed due to cyclone that passed thru we are lucky just missing the terrible weather this summer down here. We are not in Cairns until Feb 13 so hopefully they will have cleaned up from the cyclone they are expecting tomorrow. Had a lovely day at St Kilda very hot 42c I did not swim there was no shade on the beach and it was crowded the main street reminded us of Key West and I bought a maxi skirt Kevin thinks he has gone back in time to the 60s !! He walked an hour and half every morning in Melbourne while I woke up and faced the day I am so not a morning person. Kevin you would love Melbourne on Sat night we walked along the main clubbing area it was South Beach all over! Now looking forward to mini vacation no2 still loving Australia Ellie it is waiting for you MR&K

Melbourne

Now on our final day in Melbourne. Friday we went to great ocean road amazing took a helicopter over the twelve apostles it was quite the experience perfect weather saw alot of the coastline. Sat we spent the day At the australian tennis open saw two finals for wheelchair tennis very interesting and amazing what they can do then watched ladies final sitting outside the rod leaver arena having beer and pizza end to perfect day. Now we are on a tram going to st kilda beach and Market free wi-fi on tram! Temp today 40c loving it. Off to Perth in the morning MR&k

Melbourne Jan 27

We arrived yesterday left LA at 10pm arrived in Sydney at 6M
Am 14 hours later never saw daylight the whole trip! We arr in Melbourne around noon went for a walk then slept for 14hrs! Today is 27c we took the free tour bus all around had lunch at the harbor got our phone sim card and now in
MacDonalds using free wi-fi. We really like this city it's very European and chic clubbing tonight! And great ocean road tomorrow. MR&K

Vancouver

Arrived in Vancouver after 5 1/2 flight went into the city walked around harbor front lovely city lots to see and do. No rain and 7c perfect after leaving -31c in Ottawa! Now at airport waiting for flight to LA and later tonight to Sydney and Melbourne. Our trip of a lifetime has started. MR&K

Ready to go

Our bags are packed I am finished work we are ready to go yea!
First night Jan 22 we are staying at a Ottawa Airport hotel for early am flight
on 23rd to Vancouver.  Weather there around +7c   Spending the day and
night in Vancouver and leaving 24th for LA - Sydney - Melbourne
arriving early Jan 26 we loose a day going gain it coming back!
Kevin is currently watching the Melbourne Open everyday on TV
Its weird to think we will be at the Ladies final on Sat 29th he
is really looking forward to that and the weather looks great everyone
