Today Frank collected us and took us North to Palm Beach where "Home and Away" is filmed. It is a beautiful residential area with fantastic houses built into the cliff side. The beach was deserted except for one brave family it was not beach weather for sure. We than went to Whale beach another lovely area. What we love about these beaches there are none of the usual beach front shops and restaurants all very laid back and natural. Later we went to a very interesting restaurant for a late lunch. It has many outdoor terraces and play areas for kids. At weekends it is crowded with families and live entertainment . You place your order at a central station they then give you a beeper when that goes off you go to another central station to pick up your food. After we said our goodbyes to Frank we took the ferry into Sydney and walked around The Rocks area were we stayed on our last visit. It was not busy due to the rain and no cruise ship docked. Trish we stayed away from the German bar out of principle from our experience last time remember ! The ferry ride back was fairly rough lots of waves and wind. Hoping the rain stops soon. Mary Rose
